Designed to last, Friends of the Muni, Inc. is a 501C3 Non Profit created to help fund the 2020 renovation of Charleston Municipal Golf Course and continues and continues to remain an integral asset to the Muni by providing necessary resources to keep the course accessible, affordable and enjoyable for everyone.
Nestled along Charleston’s low country marshes by the banks of the Stono River sits an elegant course that opened in 1929 during the Golden Age of golf course design.
With a recently completed course renovation, this treasure has been preserved and now offers an experience DESIGNED TO LAST as golf enthusiasts from around the corner, and from all corners of the globe, come to play on the Charleston Municipal Golf Course – Jenkins Links.
As a vibrant community amenity, the 18-hole course encompasses up to sixty-six hundred yards of modern turf plus expanded practice areas… where all y’all can practice…
A More Perfect Drive,
A More Perfect Chip,
A More Perfect Putt,
And Maybe Even A More Perfect Union.

“Tiger Woods, Lee Trevino, Calvin Peete – all of these guys started out their careers learning the game of golf on a municipal golf course. With what we’re doing in protecting the integrity of this place for generations to come, my hope is one day we’ll be able to add to this list with one of our own Charlestonians who started here at the Muni and went on to do great things in the game of golf.” — Troy Miller, Golf Course Architect
